At the Young Writers Showcase, on Sunday, October 20, selected students will read their winning entries from the stage of the Grand Theatre. The celebration includes poetry and prose from students in grades 3-8, and each participant receives a gift certificate to buy a book of their choice from Dotters Bookstore.

The showcase will take place at 1:00 p.m. for all grades this year with a brief intermission between the 3-6th grade group and 7-8 grade group.

At the Young Writers Read Showcase, on Sunday, October 15, selected students will read their winning entries from the stage of the Grand Theatre. The celebration includes poetry and prose from students in grades 3-8, and each participant receives a gift certificate to buy a book of their choice from Dotters Bookstore.

The Showcase will be divided into two separate parts again this year:

• Readers in grades 3, 4, and 5 will read from 1:00-1:40 p.m.

• Readers in grades 6, 7 & 8 will to read from 2:00-2:40 p.m.

Students, parents and the entire community are invited to create lasting memories by meeting award winning authors presenting in area schools during the Chippewa Valley Book Festival.  Begin a collection of personally autographed books for yourself or a young person you love. They will be treasured for a lifetime!  And don’t forget your cameras!

6:00 p.m. - Book sales begin (10% of the sales will be donated to the Authors in the Schools program)
6:30 p.m. - Author introductions, comments, and autographing session
